Getting there

&Revontuli is located in Tapiola, Espoo, at Revontulentie 8A. The theatre is easily recognizable by a large billboard displaying the theatre’s name and logo.

&Revontuli is easily accessible by public transportation. If you arrive by metro, take the Itätuuli escalator up from the metro platform. At the top of the escalator, turn right and head towards the lifts. Take the lift to the 1. floor. Exit through the doors on your right. From here it is a 500-meter walk. There are several signs along the way.

You can also reach the theatre by bus. The nearest bus stop is Tuuliniitty, where buses 510 and 554 stop. You can check bus schedules on the HSL app.

There is free parking in the front and back yards of the theatre on performance evenings, marked with the Espoon & Teatteri sign. From Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, parking is allowed if you register your vehicle’s license plate number at the theatre.

Accessibility

There is one accessible parking space in the front yard. The threshold of the main door is 4 cm high, and the door does not have an electric opening. There is an elevator in the lobby, which does not have an electric opening. The theater hall, ticket office and accessible toilets are located on the second floor. Inside, the wheelchair seats are in the first row. If you need a wheelchair seat, we recommend contacting the theatre in advance. The phone number of the ticket office is 09 4393 388.

Getting there

Hietsun Paviljonki or the Hietsu Pavilion is located next to the Hietaranta beach in Hietaniemi. The nearest bus stop is Hietaniemi accessible with bus no. 24. The nearest tram stop Arkadiankatu is located about 800 metres away.

Accessibility

All event spaces are accessible through the main door. The Pavilion also has one accessible toilet.

Cultural Centre Caisa

Getting there

Cultural Centre Caisa is located in Kallio, in the facilities of Leipätehdas in the inner courtyard of the Elanto block, address Kaikukatu 4.

Sörnäinen metro station is located 500 metres away. The nearest bus and tram stops are Lintulahti and Haapaniemi. Lintulahti is 250 metres and Haapaniemi 200 metres from the entrance.

There are plenty of bicycle racks in the courtyard.

Accessibility

An accessible entrance to Caisa is from Kaikukatu. Entrance to Caisa’s facilities is through the patio of Leipätehdas. Caisa’s facilities are accessible: no obstacles or height differences exist in rooms or corridors.

There are clear signs at the premises. Wheelchair seats are accessible by elevator via 3rd floor. The Festivity hall, gallery and auditorium are equipped with an induction loop. Guide dogs are welcomed.

Harju Morgue

Getting there

Harju Morgue or Harju Youth Center is located in the Dallapé Park. The nearest bus stop is Päijänteentie, accessible with buses 59, 500, and 510. The nearest tram stops are Lautatarhankatu (600 m) and Sörnäinen (M) (600m). The nearest metro station is Sörnäinen.

 

Accessibility

Harju Morgue is wheelchair accessible. There is an accessible toilet inside.

The entrance on the side of the Aleksis Kiven katu has a ramp with a 4 cm high threshold. The entrance has double doors 190 cm wide. The front door has a 6 cm high threshold. The entrance, event space and toilet are on the same floor.

Kiasma

Getting there

Kiasma is situated in the centre of Helsinki, near public transport stations. The central railway station and the Kamppi bus terminal are both 300 metres from Kiasma. The closest metro stations are Central Railway Station and Kamppi. The closest tram stop is Lasipalatsi, which is about 150 metres from Kiasma.

Kiasma is situated at a node of bicycle routes in the centre of Helsinki, along the Baana bicycle corridor.

Bicycle racks can be found between Kiasma and Postitalo and between Kiasma and Sanomatalo. 

Accessibility

Kiasma is fully accessible

  • There is a wall switch that opens the front door
  • All floors can be reached with a lift.
  • The upper landing in Kiasma Theatre is fully accessible. If you need a wheelchair space, we recommend you contact Kiasma’s info beforehand.
  • Accessible restrooms are located on the first and fifth floors. They are designed to accommodate children as well.
  • An induction loop system has been installed at Kiasma Theatre
  • You can borrow a wheelchair, wheeled walker (rollator), walking stick or crutches, as well as a baby stroller from the cloakroom.

 

Kanneltalo

Kanneltalo is located in Kannelmäki, adjacent to Kannelmäki railway station and off Sitratori. You can easily reach Kanneltalo with I- and P-trains & buses 41, 42, 43 and 56. 

Accessibility

Kanneltalo offers unimpeded access by ramp via the main entrance at Sitratori and the entrance on Klaneettitie. If you arrive via the entrance on Klaneettitie, contact the doorman by means of the entrance telephone by the door. The doorman will open the door and provide assistance if needed.

  • Unimpeded access to the ticket office.
  • Unimpeded access indoors and outdoors with level corridors and pathways.
  • Toilet for disabled persons, including care table, in lobby.
  • Facilities clearly signposted in Finnish and Swedish.
  • The theatre and concert hall has areas reserved for four wheelchairs. Those planning to arrive by wheelchair should notify the staff at the time of purchasing their ticket. Upon arrival, you may contact the doorman in advance.
  • The theatre and concert hall has grounded power outlets.
  • The facilities are equipped with an induction loop.

Kulttuurisauna Public Sauna

Getting there

The nearest public transport stops are Hakaniemi (metro, tram, and bus) which are located approximately 950 m from the sauna, Näkinkuja (bus) which is located approximately 950 m from the sauna, Merihaka (buses 16 & 55) which is located approximately 700 m from the sauna, and Nihti (tram) which is located approximately 600 m from the sauna.

Kulttuurisauna is accessible on foot, by bike, or by car. There are no bike racks or parking spaces available at Kulttuurisauna. The guest parking spaces in the Merihaka area are paid and are mainly located along the streets. The nearest parking hall is Arena Center Hakaniemi.

Accessibility

Kulttuurisauna is accessible with a wheelchair, but the entrance is not fully barrier-free for mobility. In front of the entrance is a wooden, paneled, and covered terrace, which is accessed via a wooden ramp. At the bottom of the ramp, there is a flat concrete area. The ramp is approximately 5,81 m long and 2,34 m wide, with a slope of about 11,2 degrees.

The entrance door is located on the terrace, immediately to the left at the top of the ramp when approaching. The door handle is positioned about 94 cm from the ground on the left-hand side of the door. The door opens outward and is approximately 1,06 metres wide. There is a multi-level threshold at the door. The total height of the threshold is about 5,5 cm outside and 1 cm inside. The threshold is not beveled.

The lobby and lounge area of Kulttuurisauna are accessible and barrier-free for mobility. All facilities at Kulttuurisauna are located on one level. After entering the building, the lobby and lounge area open up. There is room in the lobby and lounge for turning around, for example, with a wheelchair. There are also a few wooden pillars in the space. During busy times, moving around may be difficult. The flooring in the lobby and lounge area is mostly flat concrete.

Kulttuurisauna does not have a fully accessible or barrier-free toilet. However, there is one larger-than-standard toilet, which can be accessed, for example, with a wheelchair. This toilet does not have an emergency pull cord.

Finnish National Theatre

Getting there

The Finnish National Theatre is located in the Helsinki city centre. It is reachable by most public transportation including bus, tram, and metro.

Suuri näyttämö, the Main Stage of the National Theatre is reached from the main entrance of the theatre, located the side of the Railway Station. The address is Vilhonkatu 11.

The accessible entrance to the wheelchair spaces located on the first balcony is at Itäinen Teatterikuja 2 a. There is also a disabled parking space marked with signs on Itäinen Teatterikuja. If you need a wheelchair space or otherwise accessible access, please contact the Finnish National Theatre’s customer service.

Accessibility

The Main Stage (Suuri näyttämö) is not fully accessible. There are two wheelchair spaces located in the first balcony. You can reach the aisle seats in rows 4–5 of the first balcony by taking the elevator from the entrance in the tower on the Itäinen Teatterikuja side (address: Itäinen Teatterikuja 2 A). This entrance leads directly to the elevator serving the Main Stage. The door to the elevator is normally closed, but there is a doorbell. Ring it to contact staff for assistance.

Please note that the street area outside this entrance is cobblestone, and there is a threshold of about 4 cm at the door.

If you need a wheelchair space and/or access suitable for people using mobility aids, it is recommended that you contact the staff at the Finnish National Theatre.

The Main Stage has a tele/induction loop installed for people using hearing aids.
Guide dogs are welcomed.

Baltic Circle office

Getting there

Baltic Circle’s office is located in Töölö, near the eastern end of Hesperia esplanade at Töölönkatu 11 A. The closest bus stop for buses going to the city center is “Hesperian puisto”, and it’s on Mannerheimintie, about 100 meters from the office. The nearest tram stops (trams 1, 2, 4, 8 & 10) are Töölöntori and Apollonkatu, 450 meters away from the office. The distance from the closest metro station (Kamppi) is 900m (takes less than 15 minutes to walk). 

Accessibility

A festival employee will always open the door for visitors. If you get inside the building, ring the office doorbell.

  • The outside entrance to the building has two doors and the doors are heavy.
  • The office door is on the right at the top of seven stairs. There is a handrail on the right side of the stairs. 
  • There is a wheelchair lift on the left side of the stairs. 
  • There is a small threshold in the doorway to the office. 
  • There are gender-neutral toilets in the office, but they are not accessible.
  • The office floors are even and smooth.
