Love Me in November Club

Kuvitus: Katri Astala & Iisa Pappi

Baltic Circle culminates in an evening full of soft vibes, supernaturally good music and joy. During the evening, we will hear sets from Trabelsi and Miša Skalskis.

Meriam Trabelsi is a Helsinki-based multidisciplinary artist, DJ, and MC, known for their work with The Soft Collective and co-running the popular Club U-Haul party. Trabelsi is passionate about BIPOC queer liberation and joy, a good phat beat, and emotions. As a DJ, they are known for mixing SWANA sounds and remixes of Arabic classics, Afro-Life, house, and amapiano. With a busy DJ schedule recently, they have played this summer in Ruisrock festival, Ääniwalli, and Tanner, to name a few. For the Tunisian-Finnish DJ, delving into the rich tapestry of SWANA means also exploring their cultural heritage through music and reconnecting with the sounds and songs of their childhood.

Miša Skalskis (Lithuania) is a Helsinki-based visual and sound artist from Lithuania. Rumor has it they were bitten by a tech house spider in their childhood and, despite their best efforts, they’ve been trying to resist its influence ever since. In their previous interview, they said something along the lines of: “This season, I’m really focusing on my craft. My goal? To become the number 2 DJ in town. I like to keep it realistic.” But in all seriousness, Miša’s sets are fun yet awfuly eclectic, making it a bit hard to know what to expect.
