Welcome to Nightschool.

Nightschool is a voyage into the fantastical September night whose darkness you will not witness alone. The 12-hour performance, from eight o’clock in the evening to eight o’clock in the morning, takes participants through different levels of night and darkness, where the senses heighten and borders start to breathe. Nightschool is a guided tour through slow transformation.

What will you carry into the night?

Nightschool is created by a collective formed in 2014 whose work is conditioned by the reality of the ecological crisis and constant change. The collective’s endless project makes space and time into a world whose time is running out. Nightschool is a continuation of a 2017 work of the same name.

The collective is formed by Milla Martikainen, Maija Nurmio, Pauli Riikonen and Essi Rossi.
